An Optimization Tool for Production Planning: A Case Study in a Textile Industry

چکیده

The textile industry is an important sector of the Brazilian economy, being considered fifth largest in world. To support further growth and development this sector, document proposes a process for production analysis through use Discrete Event Simulation (DES) optimization genetic algorithms. focus on planning weaving processes to help make decisions about batch sizing scheduling activities. In addition, correlations between some current technological trends their implications are also highlighted. Another contribution study detail commercial software Tecnomatix Plant 13®, simulate optimize problem by applying algorithms with real data.
